How Eddy Current Separator Works?

An eddy current separator works on the principle of repulsive magnetic force generated by a high-speed rotating magnetic rotor. As material passes through the separator on a conveyor, non-ferrous metals are exposed to alternating magnetic fields that induce electric currents inside them. These induced currents generate a repulsive force, causing non-ferrous metals to be ejected forward into a separate collection area, while non-metallic materials fall naturally. This process enables fast, continuous, and highly efficient separation.
